Poinsettia Orders Begin Sunday, Dec. 3

Poinsettia orders will begin Sunday. Envelopes will be in Sunday's bulletin, December 3, and at the entrance to each service after that. Please fill the envelopes out and drop them in the offering plate or bring them to the office. Notate on any check with "poinsettia" on the memo line. Poinsettias are $15 each and you'll be able to pick them up after the Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. Last day for orders will be Sunday, December 17. Thank you for honoring and remembering your loved ones this year with a poinsettia!

Christmas Acts of Kindness Family Event

We will be spreading Christmas cheer and the love of Christ throughout our community by giving gifts that will be provided, or you can bring your own.

We will have stations to complete the gifts, or if you’d like to head out into Crestview to distribute them, we will have a list of places to visit.

Hot cocoa will be served. Please bring a batch of your favorite holiday cookies or snack to share while we prepare our gifts.  

We are asking for donations of  bags of microwave popcorn, hot cocoa, cookies, crackers, snacks, and also Kleenex pocket packs, candy bars, m&m’s, gum, mints,  candy canes, chapstick, lip balm, socks, ornaments, mini sanitizer bottles, Christmas cards, glue dots, ribbon, cellophane bags. These items will help with the projects that we’ll be putting together.

We will meet in The Crossroads Center from 9:00-10:30AM. Please join us!

Funeral Services for Bill Bratcher and Pat Noyes Saturday, Nov 25

Bill Bratcher's funeral will be held at 10:00AM. Visitation will be at 9:00AM. A meal for the family only will be held in the Crossroads Center after the service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the general fund FUMC Crestview.

Pat Noyes (Sharon Steen's mother) funeral will be held at 2:00PM. Visitation will be at 1:00PM.

Both will take place in the Main Sanctuary.

Please keep Bill's and Pat's friends and family in your prayers.

 

Benevolence Christmas Adopt a Child/Family Program

Christmas will be here before you know it.  For many families who are struggling to keep a roof over their heads and the utilities on, it will be another day of struggling and hardship.  

If your family needs assistance, or if you know of a family in our church who needs help please contact the church office.

Our Benevolence Christmas Program is in high gear! Please have monetary donations and gifts here by 4:00PM Monday in  the office. Clearly label each bag/item with the child's name. No need to wrap- our Youth are blessing us with their wrapping expertise! Food boxes will also be given out, so please have any food donations here in the office by 4:00PM Thursday, December 14.

A 'Kid's Street Christmas' Schedule for DECEMBER

We're celebrating Christmas ALL MONTH LONG on Kid's Street (6 weeks old-5th grade)! Each Sunday morning during Sunday School (9:45AM) and Wednesday night (6:00PM) we will be celebrating the birth of Jesus with special arts, crafts, and activities.

Choir practice for the big Christmas Eve Candlelight service program (6:30PM Main Sanctuary) is each Wednesday at 6:00PM for ages 4yrs through 5th grade.

*Nursery is unavailable for the Christmas Eve Candlelight Service.

 

Thanksgiving Food Box Donations

Our Benevolence team will be handing out boxes of food for Thanksgiving for our benevolence recipients. The entire list will cost you around $26 using  store and generic brands. You can drop off items next week in the church office, Nov 13-17, Monday- Friday, from 9-1:00 (Friday drop off will be at the Crossroads Center). Thank you for being a blessing this Thanksgiving!

Canned Goods: corn, green beans, small jars jam, small PB, pasta with meat sauce, tomato sauce, fruit, peas, lima beans, various soups, mixed veggies, canned meat: chicken, tuna, corned beef.

Dry Goods: rice, dried beans, noodles, spaghetti noodles, rice mix, mac and cheese, crackers, bkfst foods, small bags sugar.

UMM Chili Cook Off THIS Sunday, Nov 12

Our Chili Fundraising Cook off to assist in future Youth programs is scheduled for Sunday November 12th in the Fellowship Hall.  Bring your best chili recipe to the Fellowship Hall by 9:00AM to be decided by judges for first, second and third place.  The bowls of chili and fixings will be available for donation after each of the three services in the Fellowship Hall.
