It's that time again to help another neighbor out...

Activity:  Clearing tree debris from the front and back yard

When:  Saturday, March 30, 2019

Work Time:  9am-1pm

For Whom:  Ms. Pat

Where:  Altha, FL

Tools:  Several pairs of hands are needed, and perhaps one more chain saw

Attire:  Safety glasses or goggles, work gloves, long sleeve shirt, work pants or jeans, and sturdy shoes or boots

Details:  There are a handful of trees down in the yard that she'd like helping cutting up and dragging to the curb for removal by the county; and if there's time there's also a large pine tree further back in the yard.

Back story:  We "advertised" on the Hurricane Michael Updates Facebook page and Pat's daughter Penny, who grew up in Crestview asked if we could help her 79-year young, widowed mother.

Bottom line:  We need to help our neighbors.

Travel:  Meet up at FUMC/Fellowship hall parking lot at 7am; I have room for up to 8 of us in my Suburban

P. S. We received over 60 requests for help from the Facebook page and we'll be sorting through them to address the problems that our small group can help with and sending some out to other groups.  We'll be arranging these cleanup adventures until we run out of people to help.  Don't worry if you can't make it this time, we'll go out again at least once a month, maybe twice.

Grace & Peace,

Scott Sallberg
