"Great Night of Methodist Singing" was started in 1983. Since then, it has been one of the highlights of the area Methodists, as the churches gather their choirs into one massive choir for an evening of worship.

This year is the 38th Great Night. It will be held once again at Mattie Kelly Arts Center in Niceville, Florida. Come early to get your seat. Admission is free.

Activity:  Roof repair at Beverly's home: the "newish" metal roof is in good shape except at the edges, for example, some eves need some new wood

Date:  Sat. Jan. 25, 2020

Time:  8am - late afternoon

Meet:  8am at Beverly's home or 7:45am at FUMC FH parking lot to rideshare.

Tools:  Saws, drills, hammers, protection for eyes, ears, hands and feet

Community Hymn Sing on Sunday, Jan 19

The Epiphany Episcopal Church, 424 Garden St., Crestview, FL has volunteered to host our next Joint Hymn-Singing on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at 6:00 PM.  Invite your family & friends to join us for this wonderful time of praising our Lord.  As we have in the past, we encourage and welcome anyone or any group who wants to perform special music.  Afterwards everyone is invited to bring a light refreshment (finger food) to share as we fellowship together.

What: Roof re-tarping mission
When: Sat Dec 14, 2019.
Where: Somewhere in the Panama City / Marianna region.
Who can help? Most anyone, but there are three primary types of jobs:
(1) We need talkers / listeners to spend time with the homeowner on the day of the job
(2) We need folks to keep an eye us from the ground, to hold the ladder when folks are going up and down, and to hand up supplies when needed.
(3) We need people to work on the roof: first to clean up the roof surface and prepare it for a new tarp, and then to install the new blue tarp and tape around the various protuberances.

United Methodist Men Christmas Party on Monday, Dec 9

United Methodist Men will have their annual Christmas Dinner on Monday December 9th at 6 PM in the Crossroad Center. The menu will be turkey (fried and baked), dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, corn and desert catered again by Uncle Bill's. All are invited. The tickets are $10 per person and available in the Church Office or from any UMM member. The cut off date is December 2nd. Music will be provided by Pam Myers. Come out for a great evening of good food, singing and Christian fellowship.

Blue Lake Children’s Winter Retreat 2020

Blue Lake Methodist Winter Retreat is scheduled for January 31st - February 2nd, 2020 for 3rd - 5th graders.

Register no later than December 10th, 2019 for the early bird fee.

How Much:
$115 Early Bird Cost if paid by Dec 13th

$130 if paid between Dec 14th - Jan 17th

$75 for adults if paid by Jan 17th
